The Commodores locked down a commitment from RB/LB Jaire George, son of former Ohio State and Tennessee Titans running back Eddie George.
Jaire hails from football factory DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md., and he played both offense and defense in high school.

VU was his only offer right?
I'm not sure this was a good offer as far as helping out RB depth but he could help on special teams I guess.
VU screwed the pooch on RB recruiting this year and will pay for it this year. Gonna be rough.

Not sure about George, but Crawford was getting interest from both Bama and Auburn, so it's good that Vandy got in good with him early.

Crawford had an SEC offer other than VU?
Look, you may not agree but Bankins and VU just whiffed BIG TIME. VU offered or spoke to no less than 17 RB's this year. They lost a transfer back to Indiana, a kid in their own back yard chose Illinois over us, they lost Braderick Shaw the moment Wisconsin offered, they couldn't sway a guy committed to Villanova. They had around 10 backs they targeted and by February all of them except Crawford who committed early, were gone or not interested in VU.
They were not interested in a school that only had two RB's on their roster! An SEC school with probable imediate PT!
Something is wrong here.
