After starting the season like world beaters, what has happened to the Preds and Grizz? The Grizz have been totally mediocre since the all-star break and lost 4 of 6 until a massive 36 point beatdown of New Orleans last night to somewhat start to redeem themselves. The Preds collapse is worse. Much worse. Losing 6 in a row a while back and now a 5 game losing streak including 4 of those on home ice.
To do what Memphis did in basketball last night, the Preds would have needed to win 5-0 or 6-0 tonight but instead blow a 2-0 lead to lose 4-2. Is it my imagination or will the Preds have trouble even winning a game in the playoffs? Obviously this is not Vanderbilt related but many local sports fans do care about pro sports. While those two teams are not the disgrace the 2-14 Titans are, late season collapses are frustrating as hell and the Preds situations looks exceedingly grim all of a sudden.

Preds held on to home ice by the thinnest of margins. (Lost again as did Chicago)
Grizz (missing three starters) lost a close one at the Clippers. Still a lock for the playoffs but home court not a sure thing. (Games remain at Warriors and home vs. Pacers)

Looks like the Grizz might sweep Portland. Preds season is over but they battled Chicago pretty hard.

Mike Conley performance for the ages last night a week after massive facial surgery. Grizz steal homecourt from #1 seed on the road. That ship sure has turned around.
Are you taking notes, Preds?
