C.J. Duncan and Darrius Sims spent some time at running back in the spring, but both are playing primarily at wide receiver in preseason camp with the possibility of serving as “hybrid” weapons at some point, according to Ludwig. As offensive coordinator, Ludwig’s workhorse last season was Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon, who led the nation in rushing with 2,587 yards. And Ludwig has coached a 1,000-yard rusher in 12 of his past 18 seasons as offensive coordinator at seven schools. www.tennessean.com/story/sports/college/vanderbilt/2015/08/07/ralph-webb-carry-vanderbilt-offense/31299805/

Too bad he can't ever break a tackle... And the Oline is awful.

It will take the new S&C coach that is from Nebraska a while to fix the damage done by the previous yoga instructor guy. Just as Ludwig is getting the offense moving but still a ways to go.
Last year's team would not have blown out even APSU. They might have won 21-7 or 24-7 but not 47-7. The struggle against Charleston Southern last year shows that.

From struggling against ChazSo to going toe-to-toe on the road against the #3 team in America. I can see the change taking place.
