How is state penn supposed to be any good if they can't beat Temple? Actually Temple looked more like the BigTen team. Then again, it's not unusual for BigTen teams to lose to so-called mid-majors... as in Marshall over Purdue yesterday.
What does it all mean for Vandy at this point? Does it get them a pass for last year's disaster vs Temple? Does it get them a pass for not beating WKU the other day?
My answers would be no and maybe. A 37 - 7 loss at home is still a 37 - 7 loss. VU was a yard away from overtime vs WKU and dominated the stat sheet.
